Vijnana-Inspired Somatic Flow w Niki (75min)-In-Studio with (15min) Q&A after
September 16 (Wednesday) at 6:30 pm
1 hour 15 minutes
Front Studio (1)
The yogic concept of Vijnana means understanding from the inside. It was founded in 2003 by Orit Sen-Gupta and continues the work of Sri Krishnamacharya, BKS Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois. The four components of the practice of Vijnana are: sitting, pranayama, asana and study. In this class we will explore the first three of these together, with a focus on the seven principles of Vijnana Yoga: relaxation, quieting the mind, intention, rooting, connection, breathing and expanding. Vijnana has a set sequence for asana, and we will practice many parts of this sequence in this class, ranging from easy pose to handstand!
Please arrive 15m prior to class starting. Due to our COVID protocols, we will not be allowing late-comers (those arriving after 15m prior to class time) to join. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sorry - that class has already taken place!
